Toyota has recently released a new model of the already high and mighty Tacoma- the TRD Pro. This truck joins the Tundra and 4Runner for it’s 2016 models. The vehicle gives Toyota’s truck and SUV lineup much more diversity when it comes to intense off-roading.
The Tacoma TDR pro contains a 2-inch lift with special front coil springs and Bilstein remote-reservoir shocks, which makes this truck more robust out on the trails, and improves off-road handling. Under the hood, the Tacoma TRD Pro contains the well established 4.0L V-6, which produces 236 hp and 266 lb-ft. This model also contains the cat-back exhaust system, which adds a bit more of an aggressive rumble. Every Toyota dealership ensures the addition of a supercharger at the time of purchase to bump the power up to 304 hp and 334 lb-ft, but still allowing you to keep the factory powertrain warranty.
The pricing for this off-roading giant was announced to start at $36,410 for the Access Cab with a manual transmission. If you prefer the Double Cab with the automatic transmission, the price jumps up to $38,300.
Overall, this truck is perfect if you are looking to do some serious off-roading in any desired terrain that you could throw at it.
